For a few years now, I have been recycling guitar strings at my music store! We have shipped several boxes back to New York-based guitar string manufacturer, D'addario for recycling.
Besides the formal recycling effort, there are several local Humboldt Artists who collect used guitar strings for their jewelry projects!
Its a cool, really great thing to do!
