I enjoyed seeing a good turnout for my campaign kick-off event. For the first time in Humboldt history, we added value by holding a cleanup effort before the announcement! We chose the Humboldt County Library parking lot to hold the cleanup as well as the campaign speech.
The cleanup yielded 8 large bags of trash and at least 4 recovered syringes. The speech saw a crowd of over 45 people. To thank our guests we also served hot dogs and beverages!
